Using Microsoft Word is very easy, as it's the industry standard in text document programs. However, it is a jack of all trades, and some areas lack full features. One such are is symbols. While Word comes with various symbols, many users are frustrated at the lack of symbols for their specific purposes. To get round this problem they created Max Symbols 1.02. In Max Symbols 1.02 there are classic ASCII symbols and others that are very curious and practical for any text you might write.

Max Symbols 1.02 uses a very simple but intuitive user interface. All the symbols are shown in one window. There you can choose the type of symbol you want from a drop down menu, then click on any of them. Then all you need to do is copy them and then paste them into the appropriate text. To see the Unicode characters you must install the Arial Unicode font. It is of open source code so you can freely modify the program as you wish.
